The aim of the project is to promote regular and long-term voluntary work.

During the project, civil society in Latvia will be strengthened by increasing the number of people involved in regular and long-term volunteering activities, including:

1)Civil society/volunteering initiatives developed;

2) New scout and girl scout units established - in at least 6 municipalities;

3) A strengthened network of organizations working with regular and long-term volunteers on a daily basis, both by providing time and space for the exchange of good practice and by co-creating and implementing new initiatives to strengthen democracy;

4) The contribution of volunteering to the Latvian economy from the organizations involved in the project and their networks calculated, based on Slovak (and other) examples;

5) Ensured participation at the political and civil service level in matters concerning long-term and regular volunteering and organizations working with such volunteers;

6) Public information and interest in short-term and long-term volunteering activities ensured.

 Cooperation with donor countries: the project is being implemented in cooperation with “The Icelandic Boy and Girl Scout Association” (Iceland).
