The final Active Citizens Fund (ACF) project call for implementing communication campaign on democracy will be launched at the end of August. The rules and the application form will be available after the official launch of the call for proposals. The deadline for submission of projects will be the end of October. Read more
The project “One step forward” has finished

Association’s “Eņģeļi ar mums” (“Angels with us”) project “One step forward” has been finished on June 30. This project was stengthening of capacity which was financed by Iceland, Liehtenstein and Norway through EEZ and Norway grant program “Active Citizens fund” in Latvia. The aim of the project was to organise the entirety of activities, which were the basement for working out the association’s strategy plan, developing the skills of the association’s members and promoting effective participation, acquiring new methods of attraction fundings. A Help point for war refugees has been established in Jēkabpils and volunteers are involved

Association "Vidusdaugava NGO Center" from May to October 2022 has implemented the project "Help point for Ukrainian war refugees in Jekabpils region", which was submitted to the project competition #2 "Action projects" of the Active Residents Fund as an urgent solution to the crisis situation caused by the war in Ukraine and its the resulting refugee flow. ACF supports three bilateral cooperation initiatives with Norway

On 23 May 2023, the Board of the Active Citizens Fund (ACF) approved the results of the restricted call for bilateral cooperation initiatives with donor organisations. In this evaluation round, 3 initiatives were supported, in which Latvian organisations will strengthen their cooperation with Norway. Read more
Capacity building Vidusdaugava NGO Center: we have changed!

Association "Vidusdaugava NGO Center" (VDNVOC) in the period from May 2021 in cooperation with the Icelandic partner - the non-governmental organization "Landsbyggðin lifi" (English "Long live the countryside"), based in the Icelandic city of Reykjavik, implemented the project "Vidusdaugava NGO Center action strengthening', funded by Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway through the EEA and Norwegian grant program 'Active Population Fund'.
During the project, four activities were implemented, as a result of which the capacity of the association grew in different ways. All planned activities have achieved excellent results. Read more
