The final Active Citizens Fund (ACF) project call for implementing communication campaign on democracy will be launched at the end of August. ACF supports three bilateral cooperation initiatives with Norway
On 23 May 2023, the Board of the Active Citizens Fund (ACF) approved the results of the restricted call for bilateral cooperation initiatives with donor organisations. In this evaluation round, 3 initiatives were supported, in which Latvian organisations will strengthen their cooperation with Norway. Read more
Capacity building Vidusdaugava NGO Center: we have changed!
Association "Vidusdaugava NGO Center" (VDNVOC) in the period from May 2021 in cooperation with the Icelandic partner - the non-governmental organization "Landsbyggðin lifi" (English "Long live the countryside"), based in the Icelandic city of Reykjavik, implemented the project "Vidusdaugava NGO Center action strengthening', funded by Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway through the EEA and Norwegian grant program 'Active Population Fund'.
During the project, four activities were implemented, as a result of which the capacity of the association grew in different ways. All planned activities have achieved excellent results. Read more
Auction as an innovative tool for obtaining additional funding for the association
In the period from October to the end of November 2022, the association "Vidusdaugava NGO Center" implemented the second additional initiative "Bilateral cooperation piloting in the organization of an online auction" for the better achievement of the goals of its first capacity building project " Improving activity of the Vidusdaugava NGO Center". ACF receives 8 initatives to strengthen bilater cooperation with donor states
Within the restricted call for bilateral cooperation initiatives under the program “Bilateral and regional cooperation” the ACF has received 8 initiatives to strengthen partnerships with partners from donor states. Read more
ACF approves two initiatives to strengthen cooperation with organisations from donor countries
In order to help strengthen partnerships with donor country partners in the existing ACF Strategic and Capacity Projects, the ACF announced – within the framework of the "Bilateral and Regional Cooperation" programme – a closed call for bilateral initiatives that provide added value to the achievement of the project's goal and strengthen mutual trust and exchange of knowledge between the organizations involved in the existing partnership. Two initiatived have been submitted and both have received support in this round of assessment. Read more
Results of the last Strategic project call
On August 10, 2022, the Board of the Active Citizens Fund (ACF) approved the results of the third Strategic project call for proposals: of 15 competing projects, 4 were awarded a grant, the total grant sum amounting to 417 635,87 euro. Read more
European Association “World-Our Home” will strengthen its capacity
European Association “World-Our Home” has received a grant support from the Active Citizens’ Fund in the Capacity Project competition. Capacity projects focus on the activities for strengthening, cooperation and networking of civil society organizations, informal civic society groups, and active individuals; as well as on the development of financial sustainability of organizations.

“Active Citizens Fund” is program of European Economic Area (EEA) and Norway Finance Mechanism, financed in 15 countries in Europe. The objective of the Active Citizens Fund in all countries is – civil society and active citizenship strengthened and vulnerable groups empowered. Read more
